Interview

1.What is your definition of women empowerment?

To feel, act and be empowered as a woman is to connect, live and breathe the essence of you through your vision, purpose and voice, with belief, clarity and confidence.

2.What motivated you to get involved in being inspirational for change?

I am driven by the belief that we can all learn to develop a strong ‘Can Do’ or growth mindset. Inspired by many coaching experiences since 2007, I have witnessed the personal commitment made by clients to shift their focus to win through change. From embracing change to adopting a ‘Can Do’ approach, clients have elevated their achievements, personal growth and success to a new level.

3.What are some key characteristics of an empowered person?

An empowered individual is someone who thrives on helping others develop, grow and succeed. This person has centred self-belief; a blend of confidence and esteem. This person will face their fear and be brave; to push beyond the comfort zone. This person will take bold steps; armed with an opportunistic ‘Can Do’ mindset.

4.What can leaders or individuals interested in advocacy do to facilitate empowerment?

Cultivate a culture of openness, trust, value, challenge, commitment and growth. Advocacy is to listen to people, share results and feedback, and build performance and growth opportunities.

5.What advice would you give to those who want to give up due to a lack of empowered feeling, thinking and action? (e.g. What is an important first step)
